AI Security for Critical Infrastructure

Air, ground and access threats. One intelligent system.

airis:siteguard combines wide-angle cameras, AI-controlled Tri-Zoom Gimbals, GPU-powered edge intelligence and a central Cloud VMS to detect, verify and escalate relevant security events across critical sites.

Critical sites have more than one attack surface

Security teams must monitor drones in the air, intruders and suspicious activity on the ground, and unauthorized persons at access points.

Traditional video systems often leave operators to watch multiple camera feeds and manually assess every incident. This increases workload, delays verification and makes coordinated responses difficult.

airis:guard brings these previously separated security layers together in one intelligent system.

One platform. Three protection layers.

Airspace Monitoring

Detect and track drones approaching, passing, hovering, landing or entering defined protection zones.

  • Drone approach and fly-by detection
  • Hovering and landing events
  • Entry into defined airspace zones
  • Automated visual tracking and verification

Ground & Perimeter Protection

Identify unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior and activities that may indicate preparation for sabotage.

  • Perimeter and restricted-zone intrusion
  • Fence tampering and climbing
  • Loitering and unusual movement patterns
  • Suspicious object placement
  • Sabotage and installation activities

Access & Privacy

Support controlled access scenarios while protecting uninvolved individuals and sensitive visual data.

  • Optional biometric recognition
  • Differentiation between authorized and unauthorized persons
  • Role-based access to live and recorded video
  • Automated masking of uninvolved individuals

Detect. Verify. Alert.

1. Detect

Wide-angle cameras continuously observe configured airspace, ground and access zones. Edge AI analyzes objects, movements and behavior directly at the protected site.

2. Verify

When an event requires closer inspection, the AI-controlled Gimbal directs three high-resolution zoom cameras towards the target. Images are tiled and analyzed in GPU batch processing for precise verification of small or distant objects.

3. Alert

Verified events are recorded in the Cloud VMS and evaluated against configurable rules. The system creates alarms, notifies the right roles and provides authorized operators with live video and camera control.

Local intelligence. Central control. Modular scale.

Purpose-built for demanding environments

airis:siteguard combines specialized camera hardware, edge-based Visual AI and centralized video management in a modular architecture.

Product components

Tri-Zoom Gimbal

Three high-resolution zoom cameras are mounted on one multi-axis Gimbal. Together, they support automated target verification and systematic 180-degree scanning.

Optional 360-Degree Configuration

A second Tri-Zoom Gimbal can cover the opposite 180 degrees, enabling full surrounding coverage and simultaneous observation of multiple objects.

GPU-Powered Edge AI

Visual analysis, object detection, behavioral analysis and camera control run directly on the local edge system, reducing latency and maintaining detection even when cloud connectivity is limited.

Cloud Video Management System

  • Event recording and associated video storage
  • Configurable alarm rules
  • Role-based notifications
  • Authorized live access and camera control
  • Event and alarm analytics
  • Dashboards, statistics and audit exports

Connectivity: LAN · Wi-Fi · 5G

From camera feeds to operational decisions

Earlier Threat Awareness

Relevant objects and behavioral patterns are identified before an incident develops unnoticed.

Faster Visual Verification

High-resolution zoom cameras provide additional detail for assessing potential threats.

Reduced Operator Workload

The AI prioritizes relevant events instead of requiring continuous manual observation of every camera feed.

Consistent Alarm Processes

Configurable rules and roles ensure that the right teams receive the right information.

Evidence and Traceability

Events, videos, alarm decisions and operator actions can be documented for later review.

Scalable Deployment

Start with one critical zone and extend the same platform across additional areas and locations.

Strong security. Controlled use of sensitive data.

Security monitoring and privacy protection must work together.

airis:siteguard can automatically mask uninvolved individuals while continuing to analyze relevant objects and behavior. Optional biometric functions can be activated selectively for defined access scenarios.

Role-based permissions control who may access live video, recordings and biometric information. Deployment and retention settings are configured according to the customer’s operational, legal and data-protection requirements.

  • Automated masking
  • Optional biometric functions
  • Role-based access
  • Configurable retention
  • Audit-ready event documentation
  • Local edge processing

Start with your risks, not with a standard package

Every critical site has different threat scenarios, visibility conditions, existing cameras and operational processes. Our approach therefore starts with the location and its requirements.

1. Assess

We analyze the existing security infrastructure, risk zones, camera positions, connectivity, operational processes and relevant threat scenarios.

2. Prove

We configure a focused Proof of Concept with defined detection scenarios, alarm workflows, KPIs and acceptance criteria. Typical PoC metrics include:

  • Detection rate
  • False-alarm rate
  • Event-to-alert latency
  • Target acquisition and verification time
  • Coverage of defined protection zones
  • System availability

3. Scale

After successful validation, the system can be integrated into existing workflows and expanded across additional zones, sensors and sites.

One site. Three protection layers. One measurable Proof of Concept.

Let us identify the most relevant risks at your site and define a Proof of Concept with clear scenarios, measurable KPIs and transparent acceptance criteria.
